NEET UG Row: Students Call For March Towards Parliament On July 2 To Press Their Demands

The students, who have been staging a protest at the Jantar Mantar against the irregularities in NTA-held examinations NEET UG, PG, and UGC NET, have called for a march towards the Parliament on Tuesday to press their demands.

The indefinite sit-in strike of the protesting students has entered the sixth day on Monday.

As per the report of PTI, students gathered at the protest site under the banner "India against NTA" to continue their agitation against alleged rigging in the said examinations, which started last week on Wednesday.

The students called off their protest for the day after holding a demonstration and reiterated their demands, which included banning the NTA and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.

NDA Parliamentary Party Meeting On Tuesday, PM Modi Likely To Speak

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday, marking his first speech to the MPs of the ruling coalition during the first session of Parliament since beginning his third term in office.

Although Modi has previously addressed NDA MPs on a few occasions, especially when elected as their leader before each of his three terms, he typically speaks at meetings of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs during parliamentary sessions.

PTI cited a report from official sources stating that all BJP and allied MPs have been notified and are expected to attend Tuesday’s meeting.

This meeting is significant as, for the first time since 2014, the BJP has lost its majority in the Lok Sabha and now relies on its allies to maintain the government.
