Nepal is facing a severe weather disaster as heavy rain has continued for four days, triggering floods and landslides across several regions. At least 21 people have reportedly died, while five others remain missing. Landslides have caused the highest number of deaths, with 14 fatalities reported, while floods and continuous rainfall have also claimed lives. Several people have been injured or remain unaccounted for. Around 260 houses have been completely destroyed and another 80 have suffered partial damage. Authorities have moved nearly 3,000 people to safer locations as the situation continues to deteriorate. Rescue operations have been carried out in mountainous areas including Jajarkot, Myagdi and Sankhuwasabha, with stranded people being airlifted by helicopters. Dramatic visuals show a house collapsing and being swept into a river amid heavy rain and erosion. Aerial footage also shows homes, roads and agricultural fields submerged under floodwater. Despite ongoing rescue efforts, flooding, landslides and heavy rainfall continue to disrupt normal life across Nepal, leaving many people stranded, injured and displaced.
