Sri Lankan President Wickremesinghe To Visit India
Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe will arrive in India on a two-day official visit today. During his visit the President will hold talks with the country’s top leadership and look to consolidate the long-standing bilateral relations between the two neighbours, said the foreign ministry on Tuesday.
President Wickremesinghe is visiting India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the visit, President Wickremesinghe would meet President Droupadi Murmu and hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Modi and other Indian dignitaries on a range of issues of mutual interest, said the ministry in its statement.
German Vice Chancellor Habeck To Arrive In India Today
German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Robert Habeck, will arrive in the national capital on Thursday. On a three-day visit, Habeck will be accompanied by a high-ranking official and a business delegation comprising top executives of large and medium-sized German companies, said the German embassy.
He is likely to hold high-level meetings with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and Power Minister R K Singh, read the statement by the embassy.
