Oppn To Raise NEET, Other Issues In Both Houses Of Parliament On Friday

Leaders of the I.N.D.I.A bloc plans to address the NEET issue in both houses of Parliament on Friday and will submit notices to this effect, sources have revealed.

This decision emerged from a meeting of the I.N.D.I.A bloc floor leaders on Thursday. Opposition members are expected to file adjournment notices in the Lok Sabha and invoke Rule 267 in the Rajya Sabha.

Additionally, leaders from various parties have agreed to hold a protest on Monday morning before parliamentary proceedings begin. The protest will focus on the “political vendetta” against opposition leaders, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and three West Bengal ministers, involving agencies like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), and the income-tax department, according to sources, PTI reported.

Amid Tight Security, First Batch Of Amarnath Yatra To Leave Jammu On Friday

Amid multi-tier security escort, the first batch of Amarnath pilgrims is scheduled to depart for twin base camps in Kashmir from Jammu on Friday, marking the beginning of this year’s pilgrimage.

The comprehensive arrangements, including three-tier security, area dominations, elaborate route deployment, and checkpoints have been put in place for a smooth yatra.

The 52-day pilgrimage will begin from the twin tracks, the traditional 48-km Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag and the 14-km shorter but steep Baltal route in Ganderbal on June 29. The yatra is to conclude on August 19.

“The first batch of the yatra will leave Jammu base camp at Bhagwati Nagar for Kashmir at 0400 hours in the morning of Friday,” a senior officer said, PTI reported.
