<h3><span style="color: #ba372a;">PM Modi to inaugurate global textile expo on Feb 26</span></h3>
<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate ‘Bharat Tex,’ India’s largest textile event, in the national capital on Monday.</p>
<p>As per PTI, secretary of the Textiles Ministry Rachna Shah stated on Friday that "Bharat Tex will be spread across 22 lakh sq ft exhibition area," with participation from 100 nations and more than 3,000 trade buyers.</p>
<p>"This is our effort at projecting Brand India before an international audience. This will showcase the entire strength of the textile ecosystem which is very unique to India," she emphasised.</p>

<p>In an official statement released by the Textile Ministry, it was disclosed that 46 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are scheduled to be signed during the four-day event, commencing on Monday, encompassing international collaborations and partnerships.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ba372a;">Congress to gherao Odisha secretariat over BJD’s ‘corruption, misrule'</span></h3>
<p>The Odisha Congress issued a call for a ‘secretariat gherao’ on February 26, expressing dissatisfaction with what they term "corruption and misrule" under the BJD government in the state.</p>
<p>Speaking at a press briefing, Sarat Pattanayak, the president of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC), asserted that the BJD administration has failed to guarantee a minimum support price (MSP) for paddy farmers in the state. Moreover, he alleged that the youth, women, and tribal communities have been neglected, PTI reported.</p>
<p>“The youths are denied jobs and are forced to migrate to other states, atrocities against women are on the rise, while the rights of dalits and tribals are being curtailed by the ruling BJD,” he stated.</p>
<p>He also highlighted the declining standards of education and healthcare within the state.</p>
<p>In response to these grievances, the Odisha branch of Congress plans to organise a demonstration at the secretariat on February 26, as announced by Pattanayak.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ba372a;">Vice President Dhankhar to address Mizoram Assembly</span></h3>
<p>Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is slated to deliver an address during the ongoing budget session of the Mizoram Assembly on Monday, as confirmed by a senior official, PTI reported.</p>
<p>State Assembly Commissioner and Secretary Vanlalthantlingi informed that the Vice President will speak in the House around 12.45 pm after he participates in the convocation ceremony of Mizoram University (MZU) at Tanhril, situated on the western outskirts of Aizawl.</p>
<p>Dhankhar is expected to arrive in the northeastern state on Monday for a brief visit, departing for Delhi after attending the MZU convocation and delivering his address to the assembly, according to officials.</p>
<p>He will be the second Vice President, following M Venkaiah Naidu, to address the state assembly, officials cited by PTI noted.</p>
