PM Modi To Visit Andhra Pradesh To Address NDA Election Meeting Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Andhra Pradesh on March 17 and will attend an NDA election meeting in Palnadu district, BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde said on Friday. Tawde, who addressed a press conference at BJP’s Vijayawada office here, said the meeting which will be led by Modi will be held in Chilakaluripeta in Palnadu.  TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan will also take part in the meeting, marking the first NDA election meeting in Andhra Pradesh in the run-up to the 2024 polls. The three alliance partners, TDP, Janasena, and BJP would be meeting after 10 years, and Modi, Naidu, and Kalyan will be seen on the same election stage after a long time.

 The NDA partners finalised their seat-sharing formula for the Lok Sabha and state polls following a marathon discussion held at Naidu’s Andhra Pradesh residence in Undavalli on March 11, under which the BJP will contest six Lok Sabha and 10 assembly seats while the TDP will fight in 17 parliamentary and 144 state seats.   

In Mumbai, Rahul To Take Out Foot March From Mani Bhavan To August Kranti Maidan On Sunday

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will undertake a ‘Nyay Sankalp Padyatra’ from Mani Bhavan to August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai on Sunday, a party leader said. Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will conclude at the Chaitya Bhoomi, the memorial of Dr B R Ambedkar, here on Saturday evening. Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar’s office said eminent personalities from cultural and social fields will join Gandhi in the padyatra. After that, Gandhi will interact with the participants at Tejpal Hall near the August Kranti Maidan. Mani Bhavan was the home of Mahatma Gandhi whenever he was in Mumbai, while the Congress was founded on December 28, 1885 at the Tejpal Hall.

Traffic Police Issues Advisory Over ‘Run for Good Happening’ Marathon In Delhi On Sunday

Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory in connection with a marathon being held at the JLN stadium here, officials said on Saturday. According to the police, the ‘Run for Good Happening’ marathon will be held on Sunday at the JLN Stadium. Around 2,000 people from all parts of Delhi are expected to participate in the marathon.  The traffic movement will be regulated/diverted as per requirement on the Bhishma Pitamah Marg, Kotla red light, Lodhi Road, Jor Bagh Road, Dayal Singh/CGO road, etc from 6 am to 8.30 am on Sunday, the advisory stated.Commuters are requested to cooperate and make maximum use of public transport, especially metro services, it said.
