Nicolo Ferrari, who hosts a radio show for the London-based radio station LBC, has been offered a bizarre solution by one of the callers in tackling the migrant crisis in the UK leaving the Internet furious.
An LBC caller insisted on putting “great white sharks” in the English Channel to stop migrants crossing over from France. In a conversation with Ferrari, a person named John from Croydon told him that Britain should put Royal Navy boats in the waters to “intercept” boats and “throw” migrants back onto French beaches, according to the report in The Independent.
The caller, who was extremely harsh with his solution had boldly called for great white sharks to be introduced to the English Channel to deter migrants, pointed out at the problems initially saying, “My first point is we are putting migrants in hotels – how long for? One year? Two year? Five years? Nobody is answering this question, Nick.”

He then added, “Nick, what is going on? I mean, it’s ridiculous. I have a solution to this problem. Easy solution. Why don’t we put two Navy boats out in the Channel to intercept the boats? We phone through to the French, and if they don’t come and get it, we break the law and throw them on the beach back in France.
“In other words, they’ve wasted their money trying to get here Nick.” “I don’t know members of the Royal Navy would be willing to throw women and kids back onto the beach in Calais,” said Nick.
“I would,” the caller then said. “If they come here and they’ve got no paperwork, no passports… I would even put great white sharks in the channel,” he added before Ferrari ended the call.
Internet was stunned by this proposition from the caller as users ridiculed him for offering absurd ideas.
“I’m ridiculously intrigued by how the caller thinks this would work. How does he plan to get the sharks there and make them stay?,” said one of the users. Another user suggested the caller to volunteer for his own idea saying, “Maybe he can volunteer to organise this and live with the inevitable consequences?”.
