New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a telephonic discussion with Britain’s King Charles III since the King expected the workplace of the Sovereign of the UK and wished the King a “very successful reign”. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, they spoke about a variety of topics of mutual interest during the phone call, including climate action, biodiversity conservation, and novel approaches to financing energy-transition, among others.

“It was a pleasure to speak with His Majesty King Charles III on issues of mutual interest, including environmental protection, climate resilience, and the Commonwealth. Also discussed the priorities of India’s G20 Presidency, and the potential of Mission LiFE,” PM Modi said in a tweet.

During the call, a variety of topics of mutual interest were discussed, such as climate action, biodiversity conservation, novel financing options for energy transition, and so on. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for his abiding interest in these issues and advocacy.
