New Delhi: Sonu Jaiswal (35) who was a liquor store owner was one among the five Indians hat died in a plane crash in Nepal on Sunday. He went to pay obeisance at the Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu after his wish of having a son was fulfilled six months ago, said his relatives. After hearing this news of the death of Jaiswal and his three friends that were accompanying him, villagers of Ghazipur’s Chak Jainab in disbelief rushed to his house, reported a news agency PTI.
Jaiswal was currently living in Sarnath, Varanasi. He had two daughters before this, and he then took a vow that he’ll visit Pashupatinath temple if he had a son, PTI quoted his relatives as saying.
Vijay Jaiswal said: “Sonu, along with his three friends, had gone to Nepal on January 10. His main purpose was to pay obeisance to Lord Pashupatinath as his wish to have a son, now six months old, has been fulfilled. But fate had something else in store for him. Sonu’s wife and children have not been informed about the incident yet. They are in another house.”
His friends who died in that tragedy were identified as Abhishek Kushwaha (25), Vishal Sharma (22), and Anil Kumar Rajbhar (27).

Sharma belonged to Alawalpur Chatti village in the Badesar area, Rajbhar was a resident of Chak Jainab and Kushwaha of Dharwa in the Nonhara area, PTI quoted a police spokesperson saying.
As per villagers, they were supposed to return to Ghazipur on Tuesday after paragliding in Pokhara.

Officials said that at least 68 people died when a Yeti airlines plane with 72 people on board, including five Indians, crashed while landing into a river gorge at the newly-opened airport in central Nepal’s city of Pokhara on Sunday. The spokesperson of the airline said that there is no information about any survivors so far.
Aryaka Akhauri, Ghazipur’s District Magistrate told PTI over the phone that the administration has reached out to the affected families.
She said: “Our sub-divisional magistrate and other officials are meeting them. We are also in touch with the embassy…. We will do the needful after the recovery of bodies.”
Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath was pained by the deaths and said officials have been directed to coordinate with the MEA to bring the mortal remains of the deceased to the state.
Adityanath in a tweet in Hindi said: “The plane crash in Nepal is very sad. Humble tribute to all the people including Indian citizens who were killed. My condolences are with the bereaved families. May Lord Shri Ram give place to the departed souls at his holy feet and speedy recovery to the injured.”
In another tweet, he said: “Officials have been instructed to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs to make arrangements to bring the mortal remains of the deceased people of Uttar Pradesh to the state.”
The fifth Indian killed in the crash was identified as Sanjay Jaiswal.
