The military confrontation between Iran and the United States has taken another dramatic turn, with Iran claiming that its air defence forces shot down an American MQ-1 drone near Bandar Abbas. In a separate development, reports indicate that the US Central Command carried out an operation in the Gulf of Oman targeting five Iranian oil tankers. The vessels have reportedly been identified as Kaveez, Charminar, Horizon One, Risco and Daryan. According to the claims, warnings were issued to the crews before the alleged strikes, allowing personnel to leave the vessels.
