Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan speaking to lawmakers in the country’s parliament on Wednesday called Israel a “terror state” committing war crimes and violating international law in Gaza, reported Reuters. During his address, he reiterated that Hamas was not a terrorist organisation but a political party elected by Palestinians.
He also asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to make clear whether the country posses nuclear weapons or not. Speaking further Erdogan also said that the Israeli PM was a “goner” from his post, reported the news agency.
This comes after Israeli troops entered Gaza’s biggest hospital, Al-Shifa, on Wednesday and were searching its rooms and basement in a precise and targeted operation against Hamas.
Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City has become the target of Israeli forces, who claim Hamas fighters have heir operations in a headquarters in tunnels beneath it. However, Hamas denies the claims.
