Over the course of the past year, unconfirmed and unverifiable reports have circulated claiming that Russian President Vladimir Putin was afflicted with Parkinson’s disease or cancer. Additionally, a video of Putin’s jerky leg movements and foot twisting has once again sparked health-related speculation.

Anton Geraschchenko, a Ukrainian adviser on internal affairs, shared a clip from the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, the counterpart from Belarus. Putin appeared to be struggling with his jerky leg movements in the alleged video.

Anton Geraschchenko shared a video with caption on Twitter: “Putin’s feet during his meeting with Lukashenko. Is this Morse code?”

Visegrad, a news organisation, also shared the alleged video, stating, “Looks like something is wrong.” In the meantime, internet users inquired about Vladimir Putin’s health, with some claiming that his jittery legs were a sign of Parkinson’s disease.

“For those saying it’s edited video, here is original. Whether restless or medical, it’s not normal behavior on world stage. 7 years cared for father that died with Parkinson’s. I can attest it looks like later early stages, but you be the judge.”
