Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has warned that any fresh attacks on Iran will trigger a “faster, heavier and more painful response”. Separately, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it attacked three US-affiliated vessels and three oil tankers via what it described as an “unauthorised” route in the Strait of Hormuz.
‘Iran Preparing For Long War’
A defence analyst has said Iran is preparing for a prolonged conflict with the United States despite suffering “heavy blows” from American strikes, according to a report by Al Jazeera. Wolfgang Pisztai said Iran still retains the military capability to continue the fight and target ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
He said the bigger challenge for Washington could be political rather than military, with the course of the conflict potentially shaped by domestic political developments in the US.

US Naval Blockade
Meanwhile, US CENTCOM said it had redirected 92 commercial vessels, disabled three and boarded two as part of its naval blockade of Iran as of Sunday.

The blockade is aimed at restricting Iran’s exports, particularly oil shipments, in an effort to put further pressure on its economy and push Tehran to accept Washington’s demands.
