Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day official visit to Oman and is scheduled to address the Indian community in the capital city, Muscat. The event is being held at the Muscat Exhibition Centre, where a large number of Indian expatriates have gathered to welcome him. Around six lakh Indians live across Oman, reflecting strong people-to-people ties between the two nations. A cultural programme titled “Maitri Parv” is also being organised to mark the occasion. During his visit, PM Modi is expected to hold talks with Omani leadership and review bilateral relations. Several important agreements are also likely to be discussed, strengthening India-Oman diplomatic and economic cooperation.
