Indian security agencies have reported a significant breakthrough involving three wanted gangsters accused of operating criminal networks from abroad. Himanshu Bhau, also known as Bhau Ritoriya, has reportedly been arrested in the United States by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He faces multiple cases in Delhi, Haryana and other states involving alleged murder, attempted murder, extortion and arms trafficking. An Interpol Red Notice was issued against him in 2023, and Haryana and Delhi Police had announced rewards of ₹2.5 lakh and ₹1 lakh, respectively. According to the report, Indian agencies are coordinating with US authorities and seeking to bring him back to India to face legal proceedings. Another wanted gangster, Neeraj Faridpuria, has also reportedly been arrested in the United States following inputs from Haryana’s Special Task Force. He faces allegations involving extortion, assault and organised criminal activities, and his name has surfaced in connection with the murder of Congress leader Vikas Chaudhary. Meanwhile, Punjab-based gangster Amritpal Baat has reportedly been arrested near the Canada border. He allegedly travelled abroad using a forged passport and faces several cases in Punjab, including murder and offences under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Further legal proceedings and possible extradition efforts remain key developments to watch.
