Elon Musk’s ‘America Party’ A Political Reality Amid Tiff With Trump Or Just Billionaire Bluff?

Is a new political force taking shape in the United States? If SpaceX founder and President Donald Trump’s friend-turned-foe, Elon Musk, has his way, America’s two-party system could soon become a thing of the past. Tech billionaire Musk ignited the speculation with a cryptic post on X, hinting at the possible formation of a party called “The America Party”.

The buzz began when Musk conducted a poll on his social media platform, asking users whether it was time to create a new political party in the US. The response was overwhelming: 80% of users voted in favour of a new party.

Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle?

Musk followed up with a bold declaration: “The people have spoken. A new political party is needed in America to represent the 80% in the middle! And exactly 80% of people agree. This is fate.”

Shortly after, he posted just three words: “The America Party.” However, no formal announcement has been made

The timing of Musk’s message is significant, coming amid a very public and increasingly bitter spat with President Donald Trump. The billionaire took direct aim at Trump with a pointed comment: “Without me, Trump would have lost the election,” followed by a sharp rebuke: “Such ingratitude.”

Trump, who once shared a seemingly close political alliance with Musk, fired back on Truth Social. Accusing Musk of betrayal, he even threatened to cut federal contracts and subsidies for Musk’s companies, Tesla and SpaceX. “The easiest way to save money in our Budget… is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts,” Trump wrote.

Once allies, the two powerhouses have now entered open conflict. Musk had previously backed Trump’s campaign efforts, formed a PAC in his support, and even appeared at rallies and Cabinet meetings. But now, their relationship has fractured, and Musk seems to be carving his own path, possibly one with national political ambitions.
