Protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) entered their 13th consecutive day, with tens of thousands of demonstrators remaining gathered at Rawalakot’s Eidgah Ground. Protesters have continued day-and-night demonstrations against the Pakistani administration, raising slogans and demanding their rights. According to reports cited in the broadcast, around 70,000 people participated in a large nighttime protest using mobile phone flashlights. Demonstrators alleged that Pakistani security forces have used force against protesters, with claims of casualties and disappearances of several youths who joined the movement. The report further stated that POK’s borders have been sealed due to the unrest, disrupting the supply of food and essential goods. Protesters accused authorities of restricting access to necessities, while internet services have reportedly remained suspended since June 5. Security forces, including Rangers and police personnel, have been deployed in large numbers around protest sites.
