Saudi Arabia to host WEF Special Meeting on Global Collaboration

Saudi Arabia is set to host the World Economic Forum (WEF) Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development on April 28th and 29th, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The two-day event aims to gather over 1,000 global leaders, including heads of state, government officials, and thought leaders from various sectors, alongside representatives from international organizations, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The goal is to tackle pressing global development challenges through productive dialogues and collaborative efforts.

According to the SPA report, the meeting will focus on three central themes: Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development. With an agenda designed to foster cooperation, the event will feature panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities. It seeks to bring together leaders and experts committed to building a more resilient, sustainable, and equitable world.

Rahul, Nadda to address Lok Sabha poll rallies in Odisha

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and BJP president JP Nadda are scheduled to address election rallies in different parts of Odisha on April 28th. Rahul Gandhi is expected to address a public meeting in Salepur, Cuttack district, and pay homage to Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das in Satyabhamapur. AICC general secretary Ajoy Kumar highlighted that attendees from four Lok Sabha constituencies—Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jajpur, and Jagatsinghpur—will participate in Rahul Gandhi’s rally.

On the same day, BJP president JP Nadda will address a public gathering in Berhampur and meet party workers in Nabarangpur. The Berhampur Lok Sabha seat anticipates a fierce electoral contest between BJP and BJD candidates, both of whom are former members of the opposing party. Meanwhile, in Nabarangpur, the battle is expected to be intense between the BJD and BJP candidates, with Congress also fielding a contender.

These developments indicate the convergence of global and regional interests, both in terms of economic collaboration and political dynamics, underscoring the significance of international forums like the World Economic Forum in fostering dialogue and cooperation on a global scale.
