The video, which resembled the ‘Call of Duty’ gameplay, and appeared to have been shot by the gunman as he emptied his magazine, also showed two vehicles being set ablaze.

The incident happened on September 2, shortly after the singer released a music video “Old Money” featuring Bollywood actor Salman Khan, with whom the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang has a known rivalry. The singer was not injured in the shooting.

The Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang had then claimed that their men were behind the firing as the singer associated with Salman Khan for the music video. The notorious syndicate, which is also being probed for the high-profile murders of Sidhu Moose Wala and Baba Siddique, also reportedly threatened Dhillon to “stay within his limits.”

In a social media post, Godara, a prominent member associated with the Bishnoi gang, suggested that Dhillon’s portrayal of gangster lifestyles in his music crossed into territory that the Bishnoi gang considers part of their reality.

Meanwhile, Canadian police have arrested a suspect named Abhijeet Kingra, an Indian, from Ontario in connection with the firing incident. Cops have also issued an arrest warrant for a second suspect, Vikram Sharma, who they said is believed to have fled to India.

As per a statement issued by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), 25-year-old Kingra has been charged with arson and discharge of a firearm with intent. He will appear in the Ontario court today.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Sharma has also been charged with arson discharge of a firearm with intent, but cops said He’s currently in India.
