AirAsia Flight From Pune To Bengaluru Aborts Take Off Due To Technical Glitch

AirAsia India aircraft i5-1427 from Pune to Bengaluru was forced to return to the bay owing to a technical issue on Sunday, According to an official, news agency ANI reported. 

“AirAsia India regrets the inconvenience caused to guests as a result of the delay,” ANI quoted an AirAsia India spokesperson as saying.

The situation is being investigated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The pilots received a “brake hot ECAM caution” and safely aborted takeoff, Times Of India reported.

“Electronic centralised aircraft monitor (ECAM) is a system aboard Airbus aircraft for monitoring and presenting engine and aircraft system information to pilots,” according to the website SKYbrary. In the case of a malfunction, it will indicate the defect and may also display the relevant steps of the corrective process.”

AirAsia Bhd has quit the Indian budget airline that bore its brand, with its majority Indian partner, Tata Group’s Air India, agreeing to acquire the Malaysian carrier’s remaining 16.67% ownership in AirAsia India for 155.65 crores.

The Tata Group intends to significantly expand the fleet size and network of the amalgamated company of AirAsia India and Air India Express, according to Air India managing director Campbell Wilson, who spoke to staff on Thursday.
