A red alert was already in place for Raigad and Ratnagiri for Saturday.

According to the IMD prediction, Satara and Kolhapur are expected to experience extremely heavy rainfall at isolated locations in the ghat areas and moderate rain in the plains on Sunday. A yellow alert has been issued for the rest of the state.

IMD scientist Sushma Nair mentioned that monsoon activity has intensified since July 11 and is expected to continue for the next two to three days.
