PM Modi To Visit MP’s Jhabua To Inaugurate, Lay Foundation Stone Of Projects Worth Rs 7,300 Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to embark on a visit to Madhya Pradesh on Sunday to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for multiple development projects worth approximately Rs 7,300 crore in the tribal-dominated Jhabua district, as per officials.

The prime minister will dedicate and initiate various initiatives aimed at benefiting the tribal population of the region, according to an official statement. Among these, he will distribute the monthly installment of the Aahar Anudan Yojana to around two lakh women beneficiaries. This scheme entails providing Rs 1,500 per month for nutritious food to women from various specially-backward tribes in Madhya Pradesh.

Furthermore, PM Modi will distribute 1.75 lakh ‘adhikar abhilekh’ (record of rights) to beneficiaries of the SVAMITVA Scheme. This scheme aims to furnish documentary evidence to individuals regarding their land ownership rights.

Additionally, the prime minister will lay the foundation stone for Tantya Mama Bhil University, a dedicated institution that will serve the youth from districts with a high concentration of tribal communities in the region. With an estimated cost of Rs 170 crore, the university will offer world-class infrastructure for the holistic development of its students.

Moreover, PM Modi will allocate funds amounting to Rs 55.9 crore for 559 villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana. These funds will be utilized for various construction activities, including the construction of Anganwadi Bhawans, fair price shops, health centres, additional rooms in schools, and internal roads, among other essential amenities.

Kejriwal To Inaugurate Thermal Power Plant In Punjab Today

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann will jointly dedicate the 540-MW thermal power plant at Goindwal Sahib in Tarn Taran district on February 11.

Last month, the state government acquired this plant, previously owned by GVK Power, at a cost of Rs 1,080 crore, asserting it to be the first private power plant procured by the government. Singh noted that the acquisition process was finalized on February 7.

The power plant has been christened as Sri Guru Amardas Thermal Power Plant in honor of the third Sikh Guru. Singh emphasized, “Now, the thermal power plant of GVK Power (Goindwal Sahib) Limited is a property of the Punjab Government.”
