Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Maharashtra on December 4, where he will unveil the statue of the legendary Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji at the Rajkot fort in Sindhudurg. Alongside this, he will participate in the ‘Navy Day 2023’ celebrations at Sindhudurg, attending operational demonstrations by Indian Navy ships, submarines, aircraft, and special forces at Tarkarli beach.

The ‘Navy Day 2023’ celebrations hold special significance, paying homage to the maritime heritage of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The event commemorates the inspiration drawn from Shivaji Maharaj’s seal, influencing the new naval ensign adopted last year during the commissioning of the first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.

The Lok Sabha Ethics Committee’s report recommending the expulsion of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra in a cash-for-query case is set to be tabled in the lower house of Parliament on Monday, news agency PTI reported. The report follows the committee’s meeting on November 9, where six members voted in favor of Moitra’s expulsion, while four members submitted dissent notes. The Winter Session of Parliament begins on Monday, and Moitra’s expulsion would require the House’s approval of the panel’s recommendation.
