Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed grief on the loss of lives in the US plane crash with 64 people aboard and no survivors expected. 

“Deeply saddened by loss of lives in the tragic collision in Washington DC,” said the Prime Minister in a post on X. 

“Our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. We stand in solidarity with the people of the United States,” he added.

The plane crashed into the Potomac River after midair collision with a chopper near Washingon DC’s Ronald Reagan airport on Wednesday evening.
