CRISIS ALERT: Afghanistan Condemns Pakistan Airstrikes, Civilian Casualties Reported

Pakistan has claimed responsibility for airstrikes inside Afghanistan, stating that seven militant camps linked to Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) were targeted. The Afghan government strongly condemned the attacks. Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said Pakistani forces crossed the border and bombed civilian areas, resulting in the deaths of dozens, including women and children. Kabul accused Islamabad of attempting to cover up its internal failures through these strikes and stressed that the operation violated Afghan sovereignty. While Pakistan insists the strikes targeted terrorist infrastructure responsible for cross-border attacks, Afghan authorities maintain that the bombardment was indiscriminate, affecting non-combatants. The incident has intensified tensions along the porous border, with the potential to escalate diplomatic friction and further destabilize security in the region. International observers are closely monitoring developments as calls for restraint and investigation increase.
