Celebration On Streets In Tel Aviv, Gaza As Israel, Hamas Reach Truce Deal: Watch

In a major development in world politics, which is expected to bring peace, Hamas and Israel on Wednesday reached hostage and ceasefire deal. This deal is expected to draw the curtains on the ongoing conflict, which started in October 2023.

Following the announcement, celebration started on the street of Tel Aviv, as reported by news agency ANI. People gathered on the road and celebrated with singing and beating drums. People were also seen holding posters which read, ‘Stop The War’.

The people of Gaza came out of their homes in large numbers and celebrated the ceasefire deal.

Ifat Kalderon, cousin of one of the hostages, Ofer Kalderon, said,”…I’m happy but I’m going to fight for each of them until they come back home…”

The people in Lebanon also celebrated the announcement of the ceasefire deal. People, filled with joy, came out on the streets and busted crackers.

Earlier, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the President of the United States, posted, “Today, after many months of intensive diplomacy by the United States, along with Egypt and Qatar, Israel and Hamas have reached a ceasefire and hostage deal. My diplomacy never ceased in their efforts to get this done – I will speak more about this soon.”

In a post on X, the official account of Prime Minister of Israel, posted, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke this evening with US President-elect Donald Trump and thanked him for his assistance in advancing the release of the hostages and for helping Israel bring an end to the suffering of dozens of hostages and their families.”
