Asaad Badree bin Hj Abu Bakar (Bard), has completed the Leadership Bootcamp program, designed to give shipboard leaders the necessary tools to thrive during the Healthy Return to Service (HRTS) and beyond.

Bard who grew up in Kuala Belait, Brunei, was the first Bruneian crew member back in 2010 to have worked for Royal Caribbean Group, a global cruise holding company incorporated in Liberia and based in Miami, Florida, US. It is the world’s second-largest cruise line operator. Currently, he is the Digital Manager onboard Celebrity Summit, a Millennium-class cruise ship that is currently travelling from Miami, Mexico, and Bahamas.

He is responsible for all digital experience products onboard. His role proactively executes operational processes and collaborates across multiple teams to support digital products and operations. He is the primary shipboard point of contact, liaising between Excalibur and shipboard operational leaders to drive awareness of all digital experience products and ensure content and experience meets brand and digital standards across all platforms. His role coordinates training and awareness for all app and crew feature releases, implementation of operations to support releases, content tool kits/templates and change management efforts. Until today, Bard is the only Bruneian in the entire fleet.
