Delta Airlines Crash Canada: Audio recordings from Toronto Pearson Airport have revealed the immediate reactions of air traffic controllers as a plane arriving from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport overturned upon landing. “This airplane just crashed,” an air traffic controller at Toronto Pearson was heard saying on Monday afternoon (local time).

Moments later, a second transmission confirmed the severity of the situation. “The aircraft is upside down and burning,” another controller reported. The recordings also captured the state of passengers exiting the aircraft shortly after the crash.

CBS News reported that regional paramedic services personnel rushed injured individuals to hospitals. Among them, one child and two adults sustained critical injuries, while others suffered minor to moderate injuries.

Delta Air Lines has said 18 passengers had been hospitalised. The airline also confirmed that four of the 80 people on board were crew members. The FAA noted that the Transportation Safety Board of Canada will lead the investigation into the incident.
