Tesla CEO and X chief (formerly known as Twitter) Elon Musk congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the most followed world leader on microblogging site X.
He tweeted: “Congratulations PM Narendra Modi on being the most followed world leader.”

This comes after PM Modu crossed 100 million followers on X, becoming the most followed incumbent world leader on the site.
Expressing gratitude, the PM posted on X on July 14: “A hundred million on X. Happy to be on this vibrant medium and cherish the discussion, debate, insights, people’s blessings, constructive criticism and more. Looking forward to an equally engaging time in the future as well.”

The other world leaders in India such as Congress leader and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi, and Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have fewer followers than PM Modi.
While Gandhi has 26.4 million followers, Kejriwal has 27.5 million. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has 19.9 million followers and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has 7.4 million.
