Pakistan is set to vote on Thursday to elect a new government to rule the country amid a spree of violence, including deadly blasts on the eve of the general elections. The cash-strapped country is grappling with an economic crisis and political uncertainty following the ouster of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2022. Before the commencement of voting, the mobile services are shut nationwide.
