G20: Nuclear Supremacy

<p>Ever wondered about the powerhouse behind global policies? Formed in 1999, the G20 brings together twenty of the world’s largest economies. Their mission? To synchronize global strategies on trade, health, climate, and more.</p>
<p>Meet the Group of Twenty &ndash; a coalition of 19 countries contributing to about 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of world trade, and involving two-thirds of our planet’s population.</p>
<p>Since its initiation in response to the Global Financial Crisis, the G20 has been a catalyst for global dialogue. Their Leaders’ Summit has been convening since 2008, shaping policies for a better tomorrow.</p>
<p>Now, let’s shift gears to a critical topic &ndash; nuclear weapons. These destructive forces are owned by select countries for defense.</p>
<p>Globally, around 12,500 nuclear warheads exist, with a whopping 90% owned by just two countries: the United States and Russia.</p>
<p>Moreover, a staggering 97% of nuclear weapons belong to G20 nations. Let’s delve into the numbers.</p>
<p>Russia leads with 5,889 nuclear warheads, followed by the United States with 5,224 nuclear warheads.<br />China possesses 410 nuclear warheads,<br />France holds 290 nuclear warheads,<br />The United Kingdom possesses 225 nuclear warheads,<br />Pakistan has 170 nuclear warheads,<br />India possesses 164 nuclear warheads,<br />Israel has 90 nuclear warheads,&nbsp;<br />and North Korea possesses the materials to build 40-50 nuclear warheads.</p>
