New Delhi: US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti said that the United States and India have several things in common and that Indian and American dreams are two sides of the same coin. He made the statement while speaking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent State visit to the US. “India is a place where dreams become reality every day. Our counties have so much in common. Indian dreams and American dreams are two sides of the same coin…A young boy selling tea grows to lead India on a global stage… A Santhali teacher goes on to become the President,” news agency ANI quoted Garcetti as saying.

In his address at an event in IIT-Delhi, Garcetti said that the projects and transformative initiatives announced during PM Modi’s State visit will not only benefit the two countries but the world as well.

“I saw an incredible celebration of bond between the world’s two great democracies…I saw power of transformative friendship. As PM Modi said, the scope of our cooperation is endless and chemistry of our relations is effortless,” the US envoy said.
