In a shocking revelation, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has made serious allegations against the Indian government, claiming that they pressured the social media giant to block numerous accounts during the farmer protests and even went as far as threatening to shut down Twitter’s operations and raid the homes of its employees.

In response to these allegations, Union Minister of State for Electronics & Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar termed the allegation as an ‘outright lie’ adding that ‘no one went to jail nor was Twitter shutdown’. Chandrasekhar further said that Twitter regime under Dorsey had a problem accepting the sovereignty of Indian law.

Pointing out some ‘Facts and truth’ about Twitter, he said, "@twitter under Dorsey and his team were in repeated and continuous violations of Indian law. As a matter of fact they were in non-compliance with law repeatedly from 2020 to 2022 and it was only June 2022 when they finally complied. No one went to jail nor was twitter "shutdown"."
